कृच्छ्रेष्वपि गतः सौम्य क्षत्रधर्मेण ते शपे । यज्ञैर्बहुविधैरिष्टं प्रजाधर्मेण पालिताः ॥ १-५८-२०
- in spite of troubled circumstances. Oh ! Gentle sage ( Vishvaamitra ), I swear upon it by kshatriya morality. I have propitiated gods with many kinds of Vedic-rituals and ruled over my people guided by the law of righteousness. - [1-58-20]
