Ramayana
तदा प्रभृति काकुत्स्थ पितृदेवाः समागताः । अफलान् भुंजते मेषान् फलैस्तेषामयोजयन् ॥ १-४९-९
Oh ! Rama of Kakutstha, from then on the pitrudevatas ( manes-gods ) have been accepting rams without testicles as offerings in a sacrifice, with ram's testicles fitted on to Indra. ॥ 1-49-9॥
english translation
tadA prabhRti kAkutstha pitRdevAH samAgatAH । aphalAn bhuMjate meSAn phalaisteSAmayojayan ॥ 1-49-9
