ततो देवाः पुनरिदमूचुश्चापि हुताशनम् । आविश त्वं महातेजो रौद्रं वायुसमन्वितः ॥ १-३६-१७

sanskrit

Thereby the gods in their turn said to Fire-god, 'you enter the great-potence of Rudra along with Wind-god, lest that potence may annihilate the earth and earthlings, because you can consume anything that comes in touch with you'. ॥ 1-36-17॥

english translation

tato devAH punaridamUcuzcApi hutAzanam । Aviza tvaM mahAtejo raudraM vAyusamanvitaH ॥ 1-36-17
