ऐन्द्रश्च विधिवद्दत्तो राजा चाभिषुतोऽनघः । माध्यंदिनं च सवनं प्रावर्तत यथाक्रमम् ॥ १-१४-६

The oblations addressed to Indra are well given as ordained, and the flawless king Dasharatha also crushed the Soma creeper to squeeze Soma juice, and thus the mid-day savana ritual has come to pass according to sequence. ॥ 1-14-6॥

aindrazca vidhivaddatto rAjA cAbhiSuto'naghaH । mAdhyaMdinaM ca savanaM prAvartata yathAkramam ॥ 1-14-6

The hotaa -s, invocators, have welcomed the celestials for partaking oblations by singing Saama Veda hymns sweetly and harmoniously, and on inviting them with Vedic hymns they have offered oblations to them. ॥ 1-14-9॥

gItibhirmadhuraiH snigdhairmantrAhvAnairyathArhataH । hotAro dadurAvAhya havirbhAgAn divaukasAm ॥ 1-14-9

न चाहुतमभूत्तत्र स्खलितं वा न किंचन । दृश्यते ब्रह्मवत्सर्वं क्षेमयुक्तं हि चक्रिरे ॥ १-१४-१०

There were no omissions in the offerings nor any lappes in the performance. Everything was done through recitation of mantras and in a wholesome way. ॥ 1-14-10॥
