ऋषिपुत्रं ददर्शाथो दीप्यमानमिवानलम् । ततो राजा यथायोग्यं पूजां चक्रे विशेषतः ॥ १-११-१६
- and who is resplendent like ritual fire. Then the king (Romapada) offered special hospitality with respectful salutations in accordance with propriety. ॥ 1-11-16॥
english translation
RSiputraM dadarzAtho dIpyamAnamivAnalam । tato rAjA yathAyogyaM pUjAM cakre vizeSataH ॥ 1-11-16
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसखित्वात्तस्य वै राज्ञः प्रहृष्टेनान्तरात्मना । रोमपादेन चाख्यातमृषिपुत्राय धीमते ॥ १-११-१७
And delighted at heart out of friendship with the king (Dasaratha). Then Romapada informed the wise sage Rishyasringa .- ॥ 1-11-17॥
english translation
sakhitvAttasya vai rAjJaH prahRSTenAntarAtmanA । romapAdena cAkhyAtamRSiputrAya dhImate ॥ 1-11-17
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसख्यं संबन्धकं चैव तदा तं प्रत्यपूजयत् । एवं सुसत्कृतस्तेन सहोषित्वा नरर्षभः ॥ १-११-१८
- about the friendship and relation with Dasharatha, and then that sage worshipped king Dasharatha in his return. In this manner, the great among men, the king (Dasharatha) well honoured by Romapada - ॥ 1-11-18॥
english translation
sakhyaM saMbandhakaM caiva tadA taM pratyapUjayat । evaM susatkRtastena sahoSitvA nararSabhaH ॥ 1-11-18
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसप्ताष्टदिवसान् राजा राजानमिदमब्रवीत् । शांता तव सुता राजन् सह भर्त्रा विशांपते ॥ १-११-१९
- spent seven to eight days with him, and then spoke this to king Romapada. "Oh, lord of subjects, your daughter Princess Shanta may go over my city Ayodhya along with her husband Rishyasringa - ॥ 1-11-19॥

saptASTadivasAn rAjA rAjAnamidamabravIt । zAMtA tava sutA rAjan saha bhartrA vizAMpate ॥ 1-11-19
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमदीयं नगरं यातु कार्यं हि महदुद्यतम् । तथेति राजा संश्रुत्य गमनं तस्य धीमतः ॥ १-११-२०
- as oh, king, I am contemplating to perform a great Vedic ritual, indeed." So said Dasharatha to Romapada. "So it shall be" said king Romapada agreeing to their travel with king Dasharatha - ॥ 1-11-20॥
english translation
madIyaM nagaraM yAtu kAryaM hi mahadudyatam । tatheti rAjA saMzrutya gamanaM tasya dhImataH ॥ 1-11-20
