वक्तुकामा इव हि मे इङ्गितान्युपलक्षये । तांस्तु दृष्ट्वा नरव्याघ्रो राघवः प्रत्युवाच ह ॥ ३-६४-१६

vaktukAmA iva hi me iGgitAnyupalakSaye । tAMstu dRSTvA naravyAghro rAghavaH pratyuvAca ha ॥ 3-64-16
hk transliteration by Sanscriptक्व सीतेति निरीक्षन्वै बाष्पसंरुद्धया दृशा । एवमुक्ता नरेन्द्रेण ते मृगास्सहसोत्थिताः ॥ ३-६४-१७

kva sIteti nirIkSanvai bASpasaMruddhayA dRzA । evamuktA narendreNa te mRgAssahasotthitAH ॥ 3-64-17
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदक्षिणाभिमुखास्सर्वे दर्शयन्तो नभस्थलम् । मैथिली ह्रियमाणा सा दिशं यामन्वपद्यत ॥ ३-६४-१८
- and pointed towards the southern sky, the direction in which the princess from Mithila was carried off. ॥ 3-64-18॥

dakSiNAbhimukhAssarve darzayanto nabhasthalam । maithilI hriyamANA sA dizaM yAmanvapadyata ॥ 3-64-18
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतेन मार्गेण धावन्तो निरीक्षन्ते नराधिपम् । येन मार्गं च भूमिं च निरीक्षन्ते स्म ते मृगाः ॥ ३-६४-१९
Looking at the Lord of men (Rama), they started running in that direction. Those deer were showing and looking at the path lying in that direction - ॥ 3-64-19॥

tena mArgeNa dhAvanto nirIkSante narAdhipam । yena mArgaM ca bhUmiM ca nirIkSante sma te mRgAH ॥ 3-64-19
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुनश्च मार्गमिच्छन्ति लक्ष्मणेनोपलक्षिताः । तेषां वचनसर्वस्वं लक्षयामास चेङ्गितम् ॥ ३-६४-२०
