सीतया रहितोऽहं वै न हि जीवामि लक्ष्मण । मृतं शोकेन महता सीताहरणजेन माम् ॥ ३-६१-६
Oh ! Lakshmana, I cannot live without Sita. I am filled with deep grief on account of Sita's abduction. ॥ 3-61-6॥
english translation
sItayA rahito'haM vai na hi jIvAmi lakSmaNa । mRtaM zokena mahatA sItAharaNajena mAm ॥ 3-61-6
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरलोके महाराजो नूनं द्रक्ष्यति मे पिता । कथं प्रतिज्ञां संश्रुत्य मया त्वमभियोजितः ॥ ३-६१-७
My late father, the king will certainly see me in the other world ( I will definitely commit suicide ). ( In the other world my father will say surely ) How could, for the vow employed by me and promised by you - ॥ 3-61-7॥
english translation
paraloke mahArAjo nUnaM drakSyati me pitA । kathaM pratijJAM saMzrutya mayA tvamabhiyojitaH ॥ 3-61-7
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअपूरयित्वा तं कालं मत्सकाशमिहागतः । कामवृत्तमनार्यं मां मृषावादिनमेव च ॥ ३-६१-८
- you come here without completing the appointed period ( of the vow taken ). You are irresponsible. You are ignoble. You are a liar. ॥ 3-61-8॥
english translation
apUrayitvA taM kAlaM matsakAzamihAgataH । kAmavRttamanAryaM mAM mRSAvAdinameva ca ॥ 3-61-8
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधिक्त्वामिति परे लोके व्यक्तं वक्ष्यति मे पिता । विवशं शोकसन्तप्तं दीनं भग्नमनोरथम् ॥ ३-६१-९
In the other world my father will say surely, 'Fie upon you'. I am helpless grief-stricken, pitiable, disappointed and . - ॥ 3-61-9॥
english translation
dhiktvAmiti pare loke vyaktaM vakSyati me pitA । vivazaM zokasantaptaM dInaM bhagnamanoratham ॥ 3-61-9
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमामिहोत्सृज्य करुणं कीर्तिर्नरमिवानृजुम् । क्व गच्छसि वरारोहे मां नोत्सृज सुमध्यमे ॥ ३-६१-१०
- pathetic. Oh ! lovely lady where have you gone, leaving me here like fame deserting a crook? Oh ! lady of slender waist, leave me not. ॥ 3-61-10॥

mAmihotsRjya karuNaM kIrtirnaramivAnRjum । kva gacchasi varArohe mAM notsRja sumadhyame ॥ 3-61-10
