अदेशिका महारण्ये गरीष्मे शत्रुवशं गता यथा न विभ्रमेत सेना तथा नीतिर विधीयताम ।। ४-४२-२२ ।।
'Arrange matters so that our troops—having come to a distant land in this harsh season and deep within this vast forest—do not fall into confusion or succumb to the enemy.' ।। 4-42-22 ।।
अश्वानां हेषितं शरुत्वा का परशंसा भवेत परे सथाने वापि वरजन्तॊ वा सदा हेषन्ति वाजिनः ।। ४-४२-२३ ।।
'The Pandavas have always been the favored pupils of the preceptor. These selfish Pandavas have placed Drona among us. Indeed, he betrays his partiality through his words. Who would praise a person merely upon hearing the neighing of his steeds?' ।। 4-42-23 ।।
सदा च वायवॊ वान्ति नित्यं वर्षति वासवः सतनयित्नॊश च निर्घॊषः शरूयते बहुशस तथा ।। ४-४२-२४ ।।
'Horses always neigh, whether walking or standing; the wind blows at all times, and Indra constantly sends rain. The roar of the clouds may often be heard.' ।। 4-42-24 ।।
किम अत्र कार्यं पार्थस्य कथं वा स परशस्यते अन्यत्र कामाद दवेषाद वा रॊषाद वास्मासु केवलात ।। ४-४२-२५ ।।
'What connection does Partha have with these natural sounds, and why should he be praised for them? All this, therefore, is either due to Drona’s desire to favor Arjuna or his resentment and hatred toward us. Yet preceptors are wise, sinless, and kind to all beings.' ।। 4-42-25 ।।
