आचार्या वै कारुणिकाः पराज्ञाश चापाय दर्शिनः नैते महाभये पराप्ते संप्रष्टव्याः कथं चन ॥ ४-४२-२६ ॥
'Teachers are indeed compassionate and wise, with profound knowledge; they should not be questioned when great danger arises. ' ॥ 4-42-26 ॥
english translation
परासादेषु विचित्रेषु गॊष्ठीष्व आवसथेषु च कथा विचित्राः कुर्वाणाः पिण्डितास तत्र शॊभनाः ॥ ४-४२-२७ ॥
'It is in luxurious palaces, assemblies, and pleasure gardens that learned men, skilled in rhetoric, seem most at home. They perform many wondrous acts in such gatherings, or where sacrificial utensils require proper arrangement and cleansing. ' ॥ 4-42-27 ॥
english translation
बहून्य आश्चर्यरूपाणि कुर्वन्तॊ जनसंसदि इष्वस्त्रे चारु संधाने पण्डितास तत्र शॊभनाः ॥ ४-४२-२८ ॥
'Performing many wondrous feats, the learned shine brightly in assemblies, skillfully wielding their words like beautiful arrows. ' ॥ 4-42-28 ॥

परेषां विवर जञाने मनुष्याचरितेषु च अन्नसंस्कार दॊषेषु पण्डितास तत्र शॊभनाः ॥ ४-४२-२९ ॥
'With deep knowledge of others’ secrets, human behavior, and faults in food preparation, the learned ones shine forth in such gatherings. ' ॥ 4-42-29 ॥

पण्डितान पृष्ठतः कृत्वा परेषां गुणवादिनः विधीयतां तथा नीतिर यथ वध्येत वै परः ॥ ४-४२-३० ॥
'Disregard learned men who praise the enemy’s valor. Instead, make such arrangements that the foe may be defeated.' ॥ 4-42-30 ॥
