वयाकुलाश च दिशः सर्वा हृदयं वयथतीव मे धवजेन पिहिताः सर्वा दिशॊ न परतिभान्ति मे गाण्डीवस्य च शब्देन कौणौ मे बधिरी कृतौ ।। ४-४१-१६ ।।
'My sense of direction is lost, and my heart is sorely troubled. The whole firmament seems to me shrouded by this banner, and all things are hidden from my sight. My ears, too, are deafened by the mighty twang of the Gandiva.' ।। 4-41-16 ।।
vayAkulAza ca dizaH sarvA hRdayaM vayathatIva me dhavajena pihitAH sarvA dizò na paratibhAnti me gANDIvasya ca zabdena kauNau me badhirI kRtau || 4-41-16 ||
[अर्ज] एकान्ते रथम आस्थाय पद्भ्यां तवम अवपीडय दृढं च रश्मीन संयच्छ शङ्खं धमास्याम्य अहं पुनः ।। ४-४१-१७ ।।
'Arjuna said, “Stand firm upon the chariot, pressing it down with thy feet, and grasp the reins tightly, for I shall blow the conch once more.”' ।। 4-41-17 ।।
'Meanwhile, Drona said, “From the rumble of that chariot, from the blast of that conch, and from the trembling of the earth beneath our feet, this warrior can be none other than Savyasachi."' ।। 4-41-19 ।।
शस्त्राणि न परकाशन्ते न परहृष्यन्ति वाजिनः अग्नयश च न भासन्ते समिद्धास तन न शॊभनम ।। ४-४१-२० ।।
'Dark clouds shroud the sky, our weapons have lost their lustre, our steeds are dispirited, and our sacrificial fires, though fed with fuel, refuse to blaze. All these are evil omens.' ।। 4-41-20 ।।
