Then, taking up a massive, heavy mace of stone and iron, he struck down your Kaurava fighters like Antaka (Death) bearing a staff; smashing clusters of chariots and companies of horses, he overpowered them.

english translation

Bhīma ranged through the battle like the fire at the end of an age; striking down all in the fray, he seemed like Kāla—Time itself—at the world’s final dissolution.

english translation

With the force of his thighs, the Pāṇḍava dragged and shattered the interlaced ranks of chariots; he crushed all the elephants, as an elephant crushes reeds.

english translation

He forced chariot-warriors down from their chariots, elephant-fighters from their elephants, cavalry from the backs of their horses, and infantry onto the ground.

english translation

With fallen men, elephants, and horses scattered in many places, that battlefield came to resemble the very impact-zone of Death.
