भीष्मः सैन्येन महता समन्तात्परिवारितः । ययौ प्रकर्षन्महतीं वाहिनीं सुरराडिव॥६-४७-११॥
Bhīṣma, surrounded on all sides by a large force, advanced, drawing along a great division, like the lord of the gods.
english translation
तमन्वयान्महेष्वासो भारद्वाजः प्रतापवान् । कुन्तलैश्च दशार्णैश्च मागधैश्च विशां पते॥६-४७-१२॥
The mighty archer Bhāradvāja (Droṇa), possessed of prowess, followed him—along with the Kuntalas, the Daśārṇas, and the Māgadhas, O lord of the people.

विदर्भैर्मेकलैश्चैव कर्णप्रावरणैरपि । सहिताः सर्वसैन्येन भीष्ममाहवशोभिनम्॥६-४७-१३॥
Along with the Vidarbhas, the Mekalas, and also the Karṇa-prāvaraṇas, they—supported by the entire host—protected Bhīṣma, whose very presence lent splendor to the battle-array.

गान्धाराः सिन्धुसौवीराः शिबयोऽथ वसातयः । शकुनिश्च स्वसैन्येन भारद्वाजमपालयत्॥६-४७-१४॥
The Gāndhāras, the Sindhu-Sauvīras, the Śibis, and the Vasātayas—together with Śakuni and his own troops—protected Bhāradvāja’s son, Droṇa.

ततो दुर्योधनो राजा सहितः सर्वसोदरैः । अश्वातकैर्विकर्णैश्च तथा शर्मिलकोसलैः॥६-४७-१५॥
Then King Duryodhana—accompanied by all his brothers—together with Aśvātaka, Vikarṇa, and also the Śarmila-Kosalas, took up his position in the formation.
