Thinking of You as a friend, whatever I said impulsively—“O Kṛṣṇa, O Yādava, O friend”—not knowing this greatness of Yours, whether from carelessness or from affection,

english translation

And if, for the sake of jest, I treated You with disrespect in recreation, in resting, in sitting, or in eating—whether alone or in the presence of others—O Acyuta, I ask You, the immeasurable One, to forgive that.

english translation

You are the Father of this world of moving and unmoving beings; you are its venerable object of worship and the most weighty Teacher. None is equal to you—how could there be anyone superior?—even across the three worlds, O one of incomparable power.

english translation

Therefore, bowing down and placing my body in prostration, I seek your gracious acceptance—you, the Lord worthy of praise. As a father bears with a son, as a friend with a friend, as a beloved with the beloved—so, O Deva, you ought to forbear my familiarities.

english translation

Having seen what was never seen before, I am exhilarated; yet my mind is also deeply unsettled by fear. Show me again that very form, O Deva; be gracious, O Lord of the gods, abode of the world.
