अथातो रसभेदविकल्पमध्यायं व्याख्यास्यामः ॥१॥
Now we shall discourse on the chapter which deals with the different combinations of the (six) different Rasas.

The fifteenfold expansion of the Doshas, as previously described, is intended for application to the sixty-three distinct combinations of the Rasas (tastes).

doSANAM paJcadazadhA prasaro'bhihitastu yaH । triSaSTyA rasAbhedAnAM tatprayojanamucyate ॥3॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअविदग्धा विदग्धाश्च भिद्यन्ते ते त्रिषष्टिधा । रसभेदत्रिषष्टिं तु वीक्ष्य वीक्ष्यावचारयेत् ॥४॥
The Doshas, whether uncombined (Avidagdha) or combined (Vidagdha) with one another, are divided into sixty-three types. One should carefully consider and assess these sixty-three combinations of the Rasas (tastes) accordingly.

दोष चाहे असंयुक्त (अविदग्धा) हों या एक दूसरे के साथ संयुक्त (विदग्धा), 63 प्रकारों में विभाजित हैं। व्यक्ति को रसों (स्वादों) के इन 63 संयोजनों पर ध्यानपूर्वक विचार करना चाहिए और तदनुसार उनका मूल्यांकन करना चाहिए।

hk transliteration by Sanscriptएकैकेनानुगमनं भागशो यदुदीरितम् । दोषाणां , तत्र मतिमान् त्रिषष्टिं तु प्रयोजयेत् ॥५॥
The sequential combination of the Doshas, described individually or in parts, should be applied thoughtfully by an intelligent person to correspond with the sixty-three types.

दोषों के अनुक्रमिक संयोजन को, व्यक्तिगत रूप से या भागों में वर्णित, एक बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति द्वारा 63 प्रकारों के अनुरूप सोच-समझकर लागू किया जाना चाहिए।
