तृट्स्वेददाहबहुलो बहुभुग्विनिद्रश्छायाहिमानिलजलान्तविहारसेवी | तीक्ष्णो हिमाम्बुनिचयेऽपि स वह्निशङ्की पित्ताद्दिवा नभसि पश्यति तारकाश्च ||९||

A person who experiences frequent sweating, is intensely thirsty, suffers from excessive heat, is often drowsy, and seeks coolness such as shade, water, or places near water, and who may even have a tendency to mistake the stars for fire during the day due to the disturbance of Pitta (bile), is displaying signs of insanity arising from an aggravated Pitta dosha.

ऐसा व्यक्ति जिसे बार-बार पसीना आता हो, जिसे बहुत प्यास लगती हो, जो अत्यधिक गर्मी से पीड़ित हो, जो अक्सर सुस्त रहता हो, तथा छाया, पानी या पानी के पास के स्थान जैसी ठंडक चाहता हो, तथा जो पित्त की गड़बड़ी के कारण दिन में तारों को आग समझने की प्रवृत्ति रखता हो, वह पित्त दोष के बढ़ने से उत्पन्न पागलपन के लक्षण प्रदर्शित कर रहा हो।
