रूक्षच्छविः परुषवाग्धमनीततो वा शीतातुरः कृशतनुः स्फुरिताङ्गसन्धिः । आस्फोटयत्यटति गायति नृत्यशीलो विक्रोशति भ्रमति चाप्यनिलप्रकोपात् ॥८॥

A person with a dry complexion, harsh speech, a body with rough skin, and a thin body with tense joints, who exhibits symptoms such as sudden outbursts, walking in an erratic manner, singing, dancing, shouting, or wandering, is affected by the agitation of the Vayu (air element). These are the signs of insanity caused by the disturbance of the air element.

शुष्क रंग, कर्कश वाणी, रूखी त्वचा वाला शरीर, तथा तनावग्रस्त जोड़ों वाला पतला शरीर, जो अचानक क्रोध में आ जाना, अनियमित तरीके से चलना, गाना, नाचना, चिल्लाना या भटकना जैसे लक्षण प्रदर्शित करता है, वह वायु (वायु तत्व) की गड़बड़ी से प्रभावित होता है। ये वायु तत्व की गड़बड़ी के कारण होने वाले पागलपन के लक्षण हैं।
