भीषयेत् संयतं पाशैः कशाभिर्वाऽथ ताडयेत् । यन्त्रयित्वा सुगुप्तं वां त्रासयेत्तं तृणाग्निना ॥१८॥
The patient should be frightened by binding them with ropes or cords, or by beating them. They should also be terrorized secretly using a fire from dry grass, in order to induce fear.

मरीज़ को रस्सी या डोरी से बांधकर या पीटकर डराया जाना चाहिए। डर पैदा करने के लिए सूखी घास से आग जलाकर भी उन्हें डराना चाहिए।
