शोफवन्नातिसंरब्धं स्रावकण्डूसमन्वितम् । शैत्यगौरवपैच्छिल्यदूषिकाहर्षणान्वितम् ॥१६॥
The eye, when affected by Kaphaja Adhimantha, becomes swollen, tightly bound, and accompanied by discharge. It also shows a sensation of coldness, heaviness, and excessive mucus, with a feeling of stiffness and irritation. This condition is further marked by a dull pain and a sensation of fullness.

कफज अधिमंथ से प्रभावित होने पर आँख सूज जाती है, कसकर बंध जाती है और स्राव के साथ-साथ ठंडक, भारीपन और अत्यधिक बलगम की अनुभूति भी होती है, साथ ही कठोरता और जलन की अनुभूति भी होती है। इस स्थिति में हल्का दर्द और भरापन महसूस होता है।

The eye, in the case of Kaphaja Adhimantha, sees with great difficulty, as if the vision is clouded with dust or dirt. The head is also burdened with pain, especially in the forehead, and is afflicted with the heaviness and congestion caused by deranged mucus (Kapha).

The eye, in the case of Raktaja Adhimantha, appears like a Bandhujiva flower, with a reddish secretion, accompanied by a pricking pain and a burning sensation. The eye becomes intolerant to touch and shows a blood-like discharge, resembling the color of fire.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptहन्याद्दृष्टिं सप्तरात्रात् कफोत्थोऽधीमन्थोऽसृक्सम्भवः पञ्चरात्रात् । षड्रात्राद्वै मारुतोत्थो निहान्यान्मिथ्याचारात् पैत्तिकः सद्य एव ॥२०॥
The vision is destroyed in seven nights in the case of a Kaphaja Adhimantha, in five nights in the case of a Raktaja Adhimantha, and in six nights in the case of a Vataja Adhimantha. A Pittaja Adhimantha leads to blindness immediately within three days due to improper conduct or treatment.

कफज अधिमंथ में सात रातों में, रक्तज अधिमंथ में पांच रातों में तथा वातज अधिमंथ में छह रातों में दृष्टि नष्ट हो जाती है। पित्तज अधिमंथ में अनुचित आचरण या उपचार के कारण तीन दिन के भीतर ही अंधापन आ जाता है।
