उत्पाट्यत इवात्यर्थं नेत्रं निर्मथ्यते तथा | शिरसोऽर्धं च तं विद्यादधिमन्थं स्वलक्षणैः ||११||

The eye appears as if it is being violently pulled, and it is churned like the action of an Arani (fire-producing wooden stick). It is marked by a rough, unbroken mass of flesh that is tightly bound together, causing irritation and discomfort.

The condition known as Adhimantha, caused by the deranged Vayu (air), is characterized by symptoms such as contraction, swelling, puffing, trembling, and excruciating pain. Additionally, there is a sensation in half of the head, as if it is being torn or crushed.

The eyes, when affected by the Pitta dosha (fire), become bloodshot and discharge a secretion that resembles the color of flames. The sensation is burning, similar to a wound that has been cauterized with alkali, and the eye appears to be scorched, as if it has been injured or burned.

The eye, when affected by Pitta, appears to have a matured, yellowish discharge, accompanied by perspiration. It may present a sensation of fainting, with a burning pain in the head, and the vision becomes yellowish. This is the condition of the eye when it is affected by Pittaja Adhimantha.
