दोषैः पृथक् सह च चित्तविपर्ययाच्च भक्तायनेषु हृदि चावतते प्रगाढम् | नान्ने रुचिर्भवति तं भिषजो विकारं भक्तोपघातमिह पञ्चविधं वदन्ति ||३||

Due to the derangement of the Doshas, either individually or in combination, and the disturbance of the mind, the channels responsible for food intake (in the body), especially the heart, get obstructed. As a result, a profound aversion to food arises. Physicians describe this condition as Bhaktopaghata (aversion to food), which manifests in five distinct types.

The symptoms of Arocaka (aversion to food) are as follows: In the Vata-type, the patient experiences pain in the heart, a sense of emptiness, and an absence of taste. In the Pittaja type, the patient suffers from excessive burning sensation, dryness, a bitter taste in the mouth, and fainting.

The symptoms of Arocaka (aversion to food) are as follows: In the Kapha type, the patient experiences itching, heaviness, excessive mucus secretion, and drowsiness. In the Tridoshic type, the patient exhibits a combination of symptoms caused by deranged Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, which manifest in various forms in the heart and other parts of the body.
