त्रयोदशविधश्चासौ भिन्न एतैस्तु कारणैः । अपथ्यभोजनाच्चापि वक्ष्यते च तथाऽपरः ॥६॥

It is of thirteen different types, caused by the above-mentioned factors, as well as by improper food, which will be described separately.

आध्मानशूलौ हृदयोपरोधं शिरोरुजं श्वासमतीव हिक्काम् । कासप्रतिश्यायगलग्रहांश्च बलासपित्तप्रसरं च घोरम् ॥७॥

It causes abdominal distension, heart oppression, headache, difficult breathing, hiccup, cough, nasal congestion, a constriction in the throat, and intense spread of Pitta which is severe.

कुर्यादपानोऽभिहतः स्वमार्गे हन्यात् पुरीषं मुखतः क्षिपेद्वा । आटोपशूलौ परिकर्तनं च सङ्गः पुरीषस्य तथोर्ध्ववातः ॥८॥

The patient should be given an enema; if obstructed, it will help to expel feces, or if the feces are not moving, they should be expelled through the mouth. The symptoms include abdominal pain, distension, and pain in the upper part of the body as a result of the upward movement of Vata.

रोगी को एनीमा दिया जाना चाहिए; यदि मल अवरुद्ध है, तो यह मल को बाहर निकालने में मदद करेगा, या यदि मल आगे नहीं बढ़ रहा है, तो उसे मुंह के माध्यम से बाहर निकालना चाहिए। लक्षणों में पेट में दर्द, फैलाव और वात के ऊपर की ओर बढ़ने के परिणामस्वरूप शरीर के ऊपरी हिस्से में दर्द शामिल है।

पुरीषमास्यादपि वा निरेति पुरीषवेगेऽभिहते नरस्य । मूत्रस्य वेगेऽभिहते नरस्तु कृच्छ्रेण मूत्रं कुरुतेऽल्पमल्पम् ॥९॥

When the feces are expelled from the mouth due to the forceful upward movement of the Vata, the person may experience difficulty. Similarly, if the urge to urinate is obstructed, the person will find it hard to pass urine, doing so only in small amounts with great difficulty.

जब वात के बलपूर्वक ऊपर की ओर बढ़ने के कारण मल मुंह से बाहर निकलता है, तो व्यक्ति को कठिनाई का अनुभव हो सकता है। इसी तरह, यदि पेशाब करने की इच्छा बाधित होती है, तो व्यक्ति को पेशाब करने में कठिनाई होगी, बहुत कठिनाई के साथ केवल थोड़ी मात्रा में पेशाब करना होगा।

मेढ्रे गुदे वङ्क्षणबस्तिमुष्कनाभिप्रदेशेष्वथवाऽपि मूर्ध्नि । आनद्धबस्तिश्च भवन्ति तीव्राः शूलाश्च शूलैरिव भिन्नमूर्तेः ॥१०॥

In cases of severe obstruction, there may be intense pain in the regions of the groin, anus, abdomen, or even the head. These pains can resemble sharp, stabbing pains as if the body is being torn apart. The condition leads to a feeling of extreme discomfort and distress.
