यत् प्लीह्नि सर्पिर्विहितं षडङ्गं तद्वातकासं जयति प्रसह्य । विदारिगन्धादिकृतं घृतं वा रसेन वा वासकजेन पक्वम् ॥२६॥
That ghee which is prepared with six ingredients, including the ghee mixed with the fragrance of Vidārī (Indian turnip), or ghee mixed with juice, or ghee prepared with the essence of Vāsaka (Malabar nut), when consumed, will overpower the Vāta-related cough (Vātakāsa).

वह घी जो छह सामग्रियों से तैयार किया गया हो, जिसमें विदारी (भारतीय शलजम) की सुगंध मिला हुआ घी, या रस मिला हुआ घी, या वासा (अखरोट) के सत्व से तैयार किया गया घी शामिल हो, सेवन करने पर वात-संबंधी खांसी (वातकाश) पर विजय प्राप्त होती है।

hk transliteration by Sanscriptविरेचनं स्नैहिकमत्र चोक्तमास्थापनं चाप्यनुवासनं च । धूमं पिबेत् स्नैहिकमप्रमत्तः पिबेत् सुखोष्णं घृतमेव चात्र ॥२७॥
Purging (Virechana), the use of unctuous substances (Snāhika), the application of medicated oils (Āsthāpana), and the practice of anointing (Anuvāsana) have been mentioned here. One should drink medicated smoke (Dhūma) and unctuous substances (Snāhika) without negligence. He should drink warm ghee with comfort.

यहाँ विरेचन, स्नेहक द्रव्यों का प्रयोग, आस्थापन तथा अनुवासन का उल्लेख किया गया है। व्यक्ति को बिना किसी लापरवाही के धूम्र तथा स्नेहक द्रव्यों का सेवन करना चाहिए। उसे आराम से गरम घी पीना चाहिए।

Barley gruel and preparations (Lehā) that are perfected with juices (Rasa), milk, and ghee are beneficial. Likewise, purgation (Pracchardana), emesis (Kāyaśirovireka), medicated smoke (Dhūma), and mouth gargles (Kavala) should be used in the same manner.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptउष्णाश्च लेहाः कटुका निहन्युः कफं विशेषेण विशोषणं च । कटुत्रिकं चापि वदन्ति पथ्यं घृतं कृमिघ्नस्वरसे विपक्वम् ॥२९॥
Hot and pungent Lehas (medicated pastes) are specifically effective in destroying Kapha and in causing its depletion. They also mention the beneficial use of bitter trifala (Katrika) and clarified butter (Ghee) prepared with juices that are anti-parasitic and well-cooked.

Clarified butter (Ghee) prepared with the juice of Nirgundi leaves, when properly cooked, destroys Kapha-induced cough. It is also effective when combined with herbs like Patha, Vidava (Vidanga), and Sindhu (Sindhuri), along with strengthening and potentifying ingredients.
