Vomiting caused by deranged Kapha is characterized by the ejection of thick, white, sweet, and cold matter, which is often mucous in nature. The patient may experience heaviness, fatigue, and an aversion to food. This type of vomiting is also associated with a feeling of coldness, and it occurs in individuals who are prone to Kapha imbalances, often exacerbated by an excess of cold or heavy foods.

The vomiting that arises from the combined action of all the Doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) is characterized by the manifestation of all the various types of symptoms. This type of vomiting can be caused by multiple factors: fear, excessive eating, improper food combinations, or indigestion. It can also be due to the presence of worms in the intestines, pregnancy, or other loathsome causes. This condition is described as the fifth type of vomiting (Pancha-mi), which is influenced by the aggravation of all the Doshas. It should be understood that the treatment for this type of vomiting requires addressing the root cause, as mentioned in the initial explanation of Dosha imbalances.

The vomiting that is accompanied by sharp pain in the abdomen (shool), distress, and a sense of fullness is particularly associated with the presence of worms (Krimija) in the intestines. It is characterized by symptoms similar to those of Krimi-Hridroga (heart disease caused by parasites). The specific features of this type of vomiting are evident in the distress caused by the worms, leading to a significant disturbance in digestion and general discomfort. This type of vomiting requires special attention and treatment aimed at removing the worms from the system.

A skilled physician should not undertake the treatment of vomiting in a patient who is emaciated and suffering from complications such as blood in the vomit (sāsṛk pūyā), a watery discharge, and a lunar-like complexion (indicative of severe debility). This type of vomiting is associated with severe depletion of bodily strength and requires cautious management. The physician should avoid immediate intervention and carefully assess the patient's overall condition before proceeding with treatment.

In cases of vomiting arising from irritation of the stomach (āmaśayotklesha), the best treatment is to administer a therapeutic fasting or dietary restriction. Such vomiting, associated with disturbances in the stomach, should be addressed by gradually purging the body, allowing the digestion to normalize and the aggravated doshas to settle.
