Excessive indulgence in grief, fear, anger, physical exertion, and exposure to the sun, as well as consumption of pungent, sour, salty, alkaline, sharp, hot, or fiery foods and drinks, can aggravate the condition.

अत्यधिक शोक, भय, क्रोध, शारीरिक परिश्रम, धूप में रहने के साथ-साथ तीखे, खट्टे, नमकीन, क्षारीय, तीखे, गर्म या ज्वलनशील खाद्य पदार्थों और पेय पदार्थों का सेवन करने से स्थिति और बिगड़ सकती है।

The constantly aggravated chyle (Rasa) increases Pitta, which, when disturbed, causes the Pitta to burn its own essence, rapidly affecting the blood (Shonita).

लगातार बढ़ता हुआ रस पित्त को बढ़ाता है, जो अशांत होने पर पित्त को अपने ही सार को जलाने लगता है, जिससे रक्त (शोणित) पर तेजी से प्रभाव पड़ता है।

nityamabhyasato duSTo rasaH pittaM prakopayet । vidagdhaM svaguNaiH pittaM vidahatyAzu zoNitam ॥4॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः प्रवर्तते रक्तमूर्ध्वं चाधो द्विधाऽपि वा आमाशयाद्व्रजेदूर्ध्वमधः पक्वाशयाद्व्रजेत् ॥५॥
Then, the blood may flow upwards from the stomach (Amashaya) or downwards from the intestines (Pakvashaya), or it may flow through both in a dual manner.
