When the vital fluids inside the body are disturbed and the internal fire (digestive power) is suppressed, the fecal matter, mixed with bodily fluids, is forcibly expelled by the aggravated Vata. This excessive downward movement is referred to as the severe condition known as Atisara (diarrhea).

The stool will be scanty, frothy, dry, dark in color, and accompanied by an unpleasant odor. It will be hot, propelled by Vata, and resemble the appearance of meat and water. The stool will also be irregular, with a body that is excessively sweaty, weak, and extremely intense in nature.
