समवाये तु दोषाणां पूर्वं पित्तमुपाचरेत् । ज्वरे चैवातिसारे च सर्वत्रान्यत्र मारुतम् ॥१६१॥

When there is a combination of doshas, one should first treat the pitta. In cases of fever, diarrhea, or other conditions where vata is involved, treatment should be directed accordingly.

जब दोषों का संयोजन होता है, तो सबसे पहले पित्त का उपचार करना चाहिए। बुखार, दस्त या अन्य स्थितियों में जहां वात शामिल है, उपचार उसी के अनुसार निर्देशित किया जाना चाहिए।

For one whose urine flows properly without obstruction and whose vata moves in the right direction, with a strong digestive fire and a light abdomen, the disease in the stomach (udaramaya) will be cured.

Some diseases are caused by actions (karma), some by doshas, and others arise from the combination of both. The diseases that result from actions are due to the specific causes that lead to them.

कुछ बीमारियाँ कर्म के कारण होती हैं, कुछ दोषों के कारण होती हैं और कुछ दोनों के संयोजन से उत्पन्न होती हैं। कर्मों से होने वाली बीमारियाँ उन विशिष्ट कारणों के कारण होती हैं जिनके कारण वे होती हैं।

The diseases caused by actions are eradicated by the same actions, leading to the destruction of the causes of the actions. Similarly, diseases caused by doshas are pacified by the factors that reduce the doshas, leading to the reduction of the doshas themselves.

कर्मों से होने वाले रोग उन्हीं कर्मों से समाप्त हो जाते हैं, जिससे कर्मों के कारणों का नाश हो जाता है। इसी प्रकार दोषों से होने वाले रोग दोषों को कम करने वाले कारकों द्वारा शांत हो जाते हैं, जिससे स्वयं दोष कम हो जाते हैं।

Those with mild causes, which are difficult to treat, may be of a soft nature or caused by multiple doshas, or they may arise from the faults of actions.
