व्याप्य देहमशेषेण ज्वरमापादयन्ति हि । दुष्टाः स्वहेतुभिर्दोषाः प्राप्यामाशयमूष्मणा ॥१६॥
The wicked doshas, with their own causes, spread throughout the body and bring about fever, reaching the vital organs with their destructive influence.

दुष्ट दोष, अपने स्वयं के कारणों से, पूरे शरीर में फैल जाते हैं और बुखार लाते हैं, तथा अपने विनाशकारी प्रभाव से महत्वपूर्ण अंगों तक पहुँचते हैं।

Coming together with the essence, they cause a flow of watery secretions, obstructing the channels of circulation, and gradually impairing the fire of digestion.

सार के साथ मिलकर, वे जलीय स्राव का प्रवाह उत्पन्न करते हैं, रक्त संचार के मार्गों में बाधा डालते हैं, तथा धीरे-धीरे पाचन की अग्नि को क्षीण कर देते हैं।
