सहिता रसमागत्य रसस्वेदप्रवाहिणाम् । स्रोतसां मार्गमावृत्य मन्दीकृत्य हुताशनम् ॥१७॥
Coming together with the essence, they cause a flow of watery secretions, obstructing the channels of circulation, and gradually impairing the fire of digestion.

सार के साथ मिलकर, वे जलीय स्राव का प्रवाह उत्पन्न करते हैं, रक्त संचार के मार्गों में बाधा डालते हैं, तथा धीरे-धीरे पाचन की अग्नि को क्षीण कर देते हैं।
