अचिरज्वरितस्यापि देयं स्याद्दोषपाकतः | भेषजं ह्यामदोषस्य भूयो ज्वलयति ज्वरम् ||१२१||

For a person suffering from a recent fever, medicine should be given according to the digestion of the doshas. In cases of a predominant dosha (such as Vata, Pitta, or Kapha), the disease may flare up again even after the initial treatment, especially if the dosha is aggravated.

शोधनं, शमनीयं तु करोति विषमज्वरम् | च्यवमानं ज्वरोत्क्लिष्टमुपेक्षेत मलं सदा ||१२२||

The treatment that purifies (shodhana) and pacifies (shamaneeya) will alleviate irregular fever (Vishamajvara). One should always avoid neglecting the malady that is complicated by fever that recurs or worsens.

When the doshas are excessively aggravated, leading to a condition resembling diarrhea (Atisāravat), the patient should be treated. This occurs when the waste matter that follows the natural course of the body becomes obstructed and the channels are blocked with impurities.
