पाकः सन्धौ संस्रवेद्यश्च पूयं पूयास्रावो नैकरूपः प्रदिष्टः | श्वेतं सान्द्रं पिच्छिलं संस्रवेद्यः श्लेष्मास्रावो नीरुजः स प्रदिष्टः ||६||

A suppuration in any joint (Sandhi) of the eye, characterized by the discharge of pus in various forms, is known as Puya-srava. A thick, white, slimy discharge without pain is known as Shleshma-srava.

आँख के किसी जोड़ (संधि) में मवाद का स्राव होना, जिसमें विभिन्न रूपों में मवाद निकलता है, पूय-श्रव कहलाता है। बिना दर्द वाला गाढ़ा, सफ़ेद, चिपचिपा स्राव श्लेष्म-श्रव कहलाता है।

रक्तास्रावः शोणितोत्थः सरक्तमुष्णं नाल्पं संस्रवेन्नातिसान्द्रम् | पीताभासं नीलमुष्णं जलाभं पित्तास्रावः संस्रवेत् सन्धिमध्यात् ||७||

Rakta-srava is a discharge arising from vitiated blood, which is warm, blood-streaked, not scanty, and not very thick. Pitta-srava is a discharge from the middle of the joint (Sandhi), which appears yellowish-blue, warm, and watery.

english translation

रक्त-स्राव दूषित रक्त से उत्पन्न होने वाला स्राव है, जो गर्म, रक्त-रंजित, कम नहीं और बहुत गाढ़ा नहीं होता है। पित्त-स्राव संधि के मध्य से निकलने वाला स्राव है, जो पीला-नीला, गर्म और पानी जैसा दिखाई देता है।

ताम्रा तन्वी दाहशूलोपपन्ना रक्ताज्ज्ञेया पर्वणी वृत्तशोफा | जाता सन्धौ कृष्णशुक्लेऽलजी स्यात्तस्मिन्नेव ख्यापिता पूर्वलिङ्गैः ||८||

A small, round, copper-colored swelling, thin in nature, accompanied by burning and pain, and arising from vitiated blood, is known as Parvani. A similar swelling occurring at the joint (Sandhi) between the Krishna-mandala and Shukla-mandala of the eye, with the same symptoms as previously described, is called Alaji.

एक छोटी, गोल, तांबे के रंग की सूजन, पतली प्रकृति की, जलन और दर्द के साथ, और दूषित रक्त से उत्पन्न होती है, जिसे पार्वणी के रूप में जाना जाता है। आंख के कृष्ण-मंडल और शुक्ल-मंडल के बीच की संधि पर होने वाली इसी तरह की सूजन, जो पहले वर्णित लक्षणों के समान होती है, को अलाजी कहा जाता है।

क्रिमिग्रन्थिर्वर्त्मनः पक्ष्मणश्च कण्डूं कुर्युः क्रिमयः सन्धिजाताः | नानारूपा वर्त्मशुक्लस्य सन्धौ [१] चरन्तोऽन्तर्नयनं दूषयन्ति ||९||

A cyst known as Krimi-granthi forms at the joint of the eyelid and eyelashes, where parasites cause itching. These parasites, of various forms, move within the joint between the eyelid and the Shukla-mandala (sclera), damaging the internal structure of the eye.

english translation

पलक और पलकों के जोड़ पर कृमि-ग्रंथि नामक एक सिस्ट बनता है, जहाँ परजीवी खुजली पैदा करते हैं। विभिन्न रूपों के ये परजीवी पलक और शुक्ल-मंडल (श्वेतपटल) के बीच के जोड़ में घूमते हैं, जिससे आँख की आंतरिक संरचना को नुकसान पहुँचता है।
