The leaves and fruits of the amalaka (Indian gooseberry) should be processed and used for the preparation of an ointment or for an eye treatment. Alternatively, using the root of the bamboo plant, one can prepare a medicinal paste. This should be applied in the form of a disk or a ball made from tamra (copper) or another suitable vessel.
