बीजपूरककोलाम्लदाडिमाम्लैश्च युक्तितः । एकशो वा द्विशो वाऽपि योजितं वा त्रिभिस्त्रिभिः ॥२१॥

The mixture should be prepared with ingredients like Vijapuraka (a type of fruit), Kola (a type of fruit), Amla (sour fruits), Dadima (pomegranate), and other sour substances. These should be combined in one, two, or three parts, depending on the requirement.

The eye salve should be prepared with Sphatika (crystal), Vidruma (coral), Shankha (conch-shell), Madhuka (licorice), and honey. Alternatively, a mixture of Shankha and sugarcane juice, or sea foam, can be used.

द्वाविमौ विहितौ योगावञ्जनेऽर्जुननाशनौ । सैन्धवक्षौद्रकतकाः सक्षौद्रं वा रसाञ्जनम् ॥२३॥

Two therapeutic mixtures are prescribed for eye salves that help in the treatment of Arjuna (a type of eye disease). One is made with Saindhava (salt), sugarcane juice, and Kataka (a medicinal herb), while the other consists of Saindhava (salt) mixed with Rasanjana (antimony). Both are beneficial for eye treatment.

कासीसं मधुना वाऽपि योज्यमत्राञ्जने सदा । लोहचूर्णानि सर्वाणि धातवो लवणानि च ॥२४॥

For the eye salve, Kashisa (sulphate of iron) should be mixed with honey or used alone. Additionally, all types of metallic powders, including iron, various minerals, and salts, should be included in the preparation. These ingredients are applied as part of the eye treatment.

रत्नानि दन्ताः शृङ्गाणि गणश्चाप्यवसादनः । कुक्कुटाण्डकपालानि लशुनं कटुकत्रयम् ॥२५॥

Jewels, teeth, horns, and bones, along with medicinal substances such as garlic, the three pungent spices (Trikatu), and chicken eggs or skulls, should be used in the preparation for eye treatments. These ingredients are considered beneficial in certain formulations for their therapeutic properties.
