जायन्ते नेत्रभागेषु रोगाः परमदारुणाः । तत्राविलं ससंरम्भमश्रुकण्डूपदेहवत् ॥२१॥
Severe and highly painful diseases arise in the parts of the eyes. In those conditions, there is an irregular and intense inflammation, accompanied by tear formation.

वहाँ, दोष की प्रकृति को अच्छी तरह से समझने के बाद, चिकित्सक नेत्र रोगों का उचित उपचार करेगा। यदि ऐसा नहीं किया गया, तो रोग गंभीर हो जाएगा और उसका प्रबंधन करना कठिन हो जाएगा।
