अध्यायानां शते विंशे यदुक्तमसकृन्मया । वक्ष्यामि बहुधा सम्यगुत्तरेऽर्थानिमानिति ॥३॥

I shall now explain in detail these subjects, which I have mentioned repeatedly in the preceding one hundred and twenty chapters, here in the Uttara Tantra.

अब मैं इन विषयों को विस्तार से समझाऊंगा, जिनका उल्लेख मैंने उत्तरतंत्र में पिछले एक सौ बीस अध्यायों में बार-बार किया है।

इदानीं तत् प्रवक्ष्यामि तन्त्रमुत्तरमुत्तमम् । निखिलेनोपदिश्यन्ते यत्र रोगाः पृथग्विधाः ॥४॥

Now I shall discourse on that excellent Uttara Tantra, in which the various types of diseases are thoroughly explained.

अब मैं उस उत्तम उत्तरतंत्र पर प्रवचन करूंगा, जिसमें नाना प्रकार के रोगों का विस्तृत वर्णन किया गया है।

शालाक्यतन्त्राभिहिता विदेहाधिपकीर्तिताः । ये च विस्तरतो दृष्टाः कुमाराबाधहेतवः ॥५॥

The diseases described in the Shalakya Tantra, as narrated by the King of Videha, and the causes of diseases affecting infants, which are elaborately discussed, are also included here.

विदेह के राजा द्वारा वर्णित शालाक्य तंत्र में वर्णित रोग, तथा शिशुओं को प्रभावित करने वाले रोगों के कारणों, जिनकी विस्तृत चर्चा की गई है, को भी यहां शामिल किया गया है।
