सा त्वं नः स्पर्धमानानामेकवस्तुनि मानिनि । ज्ञातीनां बद्धवैराणां शं विधत्स्व सुमध्यमे ।। ८-९-६ ॥
We are now all engaged in enmity among ourselves because of this one subject matter — the container of nectar. Although we have been born in the same family, we are becoming increasingly inimical. O thin-waisted woman, who are so beautiful in Your prestigious position, we therefore request You to favor us by settling our dispute. ।। 8-9-6 ॥

इस समय हम लोग एक ही बात को—अमृत घट को—लेकर परस्पर शत्रुता में मग्न हैं। यद्यपि हम एक ही कुल में उत्पन्न हुए हैं फिर भी हममें शत्रुता बढ़ती ही जा रही है। अतएव हे क्षीण कटि वाली सुप्रतिष्ठित सुन्दरी! हमारी आपसे प्रार्थना है कि आप हमारे इस झगड़े को निपटाने की कृपा करें। ।। ८-९-६ ॥
