त एव नियमाः साक्षात्त एव च यमोत्तमाः । तपो दानं व्रतं यज्ञो येन तुष्यत्यधोक्षजः ।। ८-१६-६१ ।।

sanskrit

This is the best process for pleasing the transcendental Supreme Personality of Godhead, known as Adhokṣaja. It is the best of all regulative principles, the best austerity, the best process of giving charity, and the best process of sacrifice. ।। 8-16-61 ।‌।

english translation

अधोक्षज नामक दिव्य भगवान् को प्रसन्न करने की यह सर्वोत्तम विधि है। यह समस्त विधि-विधानों में श्रेष्ठ है, यह सर्वश्रेष्ठ तपस्या है, दान देने की और यज्ञ की सर्वश्रेष्ठ विधि है। ।। ८-१६-६१ ।।

ta eva niyamAH sAkSAtta eva ca yamottamAH | tapo dAnaM vrataM yajJo yena tuSyatyadhokSajaH || 8-16-61 ||

तस्मादेतद्व्रतं भद्रे प्रयता श्रद्धया चर । भगवान् परितुष्टस्ते वरानाशु विधास्यति ।। ८-१६-६२ ।।

Therefore, my dear gentle lady, follow this ritualistic vow, strictly observing the regulative principles. By this process, the Supreme Person will very soon be pleased with you and will satisfy all your desires. ।। 8-16-62 ।।

english translation

अतएव हे भद्रे! तुम विधि-विधानों का दृढ़ता से पालन करते हुए इस अनुष्ठानिक व्रत को सम्पन्न करो। इस विधि से परम पुरुष तुम पर शीघ्र ही प्रसन्न होंगे और तुम्हारी सारी इच्छाओं को पूरा करेंगे। ।। ८-१६-६२ ।।

tasmAdetadvrataM bhadre prayatA zraddhayA cara | bhagavAn parituSTaste varAnAzu vidhAsyati || 8-16-62 ||
