Srimad Bhagavatam
एतत्पयोव्रतं नाम पुरुषाराधनं परम् । पितामहेनाभिहितं मया ते समुदाहृतम् ॥ ८-१६-५८ ॥
This is the religious ritualistic ceremony known as payo-vrata, by which one may worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead. I received this information from Brahmā, my grandfather, and now I have described it to you in all details. ॥ 8-16-58 ॥

यह धार्मिक अनुष्ठान पयोव्रत कहलाता है, जिसके द्वारा भगवान् की पूजा की जा सकती है। यह ज्ञान मुझे अपने पितामह ब्रह्माजी से मिला और अब मैंने विस्तार के साथ इसका वर्णन तुमसे किया है। ॥ ८-१६-५८ ॥
