एतन्मुहुः कीर्तयतोऽनुश‍ृण्वतो न रिष्यते जातु समुद्यमः क्वचित् । यदुत्तमश्लोकगुणानुवर्णनं समस्तसंसारपरिश्रमापहम् ।। ८-१२-४६ ।।

sanskrit

The endeavor of one who constantly hears or describes this narration of the churning of the Ocean of Milk will never be fruitless. Indeed, chanting the glories of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is the only means to annihilate all sufferings in this material world. ।। 8-12-46 ।।

english translation

जो कोई क्षीरसागर के मन्थन की इस कथा को निरन्तर सुनता या सुनाता है, उसका प्रयास कभी भी निष्फल नहीं होगा। निस्सन्देह, भगवान् के यश का कीर्तन इस भौतिक संसार में समस्त कष्टों को ध्वस्त करने का एकमात्र साधन है। ।। ८-१२-४६ ।।

etanmuhuH kIrtayato'nuza‍RNvato na riSyate jAtu samudyamaH kvacit | yaduttamazlokaguNAnuvarNanaM samastasaMsAraparizramApaham || 8-12-46 ||

असदविषयमङ्घ्रिं भावगम्यं प्रपन्नानमृतममरवर्यानाशयत्सिन्धुमथ्यम् । कपटयुवतिवेषो मोहयन् यः सुरारीन् तमहमुपसृतानां कामपूरं नतोऽस्मि ।। ८-१२-४७ ।।

sanskrit

Assuming the form of a young woman and thus bewildering the demons, the Supreme Personality of Godhead distributed to His devotees, the demigods, the nectar produced from the churning of the Ocean of Milk. Unto that Supreme Personality of Godhead, who always fulfills the desires of His devotees, I offer my respectful obeisances. ।। 8-12-47 ।।

english translation

एक तरुण स्त्री का रूप धारण करके तथा इस प्रकार असुरों को मोहित करके भगवान् ने अपने भक्तों अर्थात् देवताओं को क्षीरसागर के मन्थन से उत्पन्न अमृत बाँट दिया। मैं उन भगवान् को जो अपने भक्तों की इच्छाओं को सदा पूरा करते हैं अपना सादर नमस्कार अर्पित करता हूँ। ।। ८-१२-४७ ।।
