यथा गन्धस्य भूमेश्च न भावो व्यतिरेकतः । अपां रसस्य च यथा तथा बुद्धेः परस्य च ।। ३-२७-१८ ।।

sanskrit

As there is no separate existence of the earth and its aroma or of water and its taste, there cannot be any separate existence of intelligence and consciousness. ।। 3-27-18 ।।

english translation

जिस प्रकार पृथ्वी तथा इसकी गन्ध या जल तथा इसके स्वाद का कोई पृथक् अस्तित्व नहीं होता उसी तरह बुद्धि तथा चेतना का कोई पृथक् अस्तित्व नहीं हो सकता। ।। ३-२७-१८ ।।

yathA gandhasya bhUmezca na bhAvo vyatirekataH | apAM rasasya ca yathA tathA buddheH parasya ca || 3-27-18 ||
