भावनं ब्रह्मणः स्थानं धारणं सद्विशेषणम् । सर्वसत्त्वगुणोद्भेदः पृथिवीवृत्तिलक्षणम् ॥ ३-२६-४६ ॥
The characteristics of the functions of earth can be perceived by modeling forms of the Supreme Brahman, by constructing places of residence, by preparing pots to contain water, etc. In other words, the earth is the place of sustenance for all elements. ॥ 3-26-46 ॥

परब्रह्म के स्वरूपों को आकार प्रदान करके, आवास स्थान बनाकर, जल रखने के पात्र बनाकर पृथ्वी के कार्यों के लक्षणों को देखा जा सकता है। दूसरे शब्दों में, पृथ्वी समस्त तत्त्वों का आश्रय स्थल है। ॥ ३-२६-४६ ॥
