तामसाच्च विकुर्वाणाद्भगवद्वीर्यचोदितात् । शब्दमात्रमभूत्तस्मान्नभः श्रोत्रं तु शब्दगम् ॥ ३-२६-३२ ॥
When egoism in ignorance is agitated by the sex energy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the subtle element sound is manifested, and from sound come the ethereal sky and the sense of hearing. ॥ 3-26-32 ॥
english translation
जब तामसी अहंकार भगवान् की वीर्य (काम) शक्ति से प्रेरित होता है, तो सूक्ष्म शब्द तत्त्व प्रकट होता है और शब्द से आकाश तथा और उससे श्रवणेन्द्रिय उत्पन्न होती हैं। ॥ ३-२६-३२ ॥
