Srimad Bhagavatam
लिखन्त्यधोमुखी भूमिं पदा नखमणिश्रिया । उवाच ललितां वाचं निरुध्याश्रुकलां शनैः ॥ ३-२३-५० ॥
She stood and scratched the ground with her foot, which was radiant with the luster of her gemlike nails. Her head bent down, she spoke in slow yet charming accents, suppressing her tears. ॥ 3-23-50 ॥
english translation
वह खड़ी थी और मणितुल्य नाखूनों से मण्डित अपने पैर से पृथ्वी को कुरेद रही थी। उसका सिर झुका था और वह अपने आँसुओं को रोककर धीरे-धीरे मोहक वाणी से बोली। ॥ ३-२३-५० ॥
