बहुभिर्यक्षरक्षोभिः पत्त्यश्वरथकुञ्जरैः । आततायिभिरुत्सृष्टा हिंस्रा वाचोऽतिवैशसाः ॥ ३-१९-२१ ॥
Cruel and savage slogans were uttered by hosts of ruffian Yakṣas and Rākṣasas, who all either marched on foot or rode on horses, elephants or chariots. ॥ 3-19-21 ।।

यक्षों तथा राक्षस आततायियों के समूह के समूह अत्यन्त क्रूर एवं अशिष्ट नारे लगा रहे थे, जिनमें से अनेक या तो पैदल जा रहे थे, या घोड़े, हाथियों अथवा रथों पर सवार थे। ॥ ३-१९-२१ ॥

प्रादुष्कृतानां मायानामासुरीणां विनाशयत् । सुदर्शनास्त्रं भगवान् प्रायुङ्क्त दयितं त्रिपात् ॥ ३-१९-२२ ॥
The Lord, the personal enjoyer of all sacrifices, now discharged His beloved Sudarśana, which was capable of dispersing the magical forces displayed by the demon. ॥ 3-19-22 ॥

तब समस्त यज्ञों के भोक्ता श्रीभगवान् ने अपना प्रिय सुदर्शन चक्र छोड़ा जो असुर द्वारा प्रदर्शित समस्त इन्द्रजाल की शक्तियों (माया जाल) को तहस-नहस करने में समर्थ था। ॥ ३-१९-२२ ॥

तदा दितेः समभवत्सहसा हृदि वेपथुः । स्मरन्त्या भर्तुरादेशं स्तनाच्चासृक् प्रसुस्रुवे ॥ ३-१९-२३ ॥
At that very moment, a shudder suddenly ran through the heart of Diti, the mother of Hiraṇyākṣa. She recalled the words of her husband, Kaśyapa, and blood flowed from her breasts. ॥ 3-19-23 ॥

उसी क्षण, हिरण्याक्ष की माता दिति के हृदय में सहसा एक थरथराहट हुई। उसे अपने पति कश्यप के वचनों का स्मरण हो आया और उसके स्तनों से रक्त बहने लगा। ॥ ३-१९-२३ ॥

विनष्टासु स्वमायासु भूयश्चाव्रज्य केशवम् । रुषोपगूहमानोऽमुं ददृशेऽवस्थितं बहिः ॥ ३-१९-२४ ॥
When the demon saw his magic forces dispelled, he once again came into the presence of the Personality of Godhead, Keśava, and, full of rage, tried to embrace Him within his arms to crush Him. But to his great amazement he found the Lord standing outside the circle of his arms. ॥ 3-19-24 ॥

जब असुर ने देखा कि उसकी मायाशक्ति विलुप्त हो गई है, तो वह एक बार फिर श्रीभगवान् केशव के सामने आया और उन्हें रौंद देने की इच्छा से तमतमाते हुए अपने बाहुओं में भर कर उनको जकड़ लेना चाहा। किन्तु उसके आश्चर्य का ठिकाना न रहा जब उसने भगवान् को अपने बाहु-पाश से बाहर खड़े देखा। ॥ ३-१९-२४ ॥

तं मुष्टिभिर्विनिघ्नन्तं वज्रसारैरधोक्षजः । करेण कर्णमूलेऽहन् यथा त्वाष्ट्रं मरुत्पतिः ॥ ३-१९-२५ ॥
The demon now began to strike the Lord with his hard fists, but Lord Adhokṣaja slapped him in the root of the ear, even as Indra, the lord of the Maruts, hit the demon Vṛtra. ॥ 3-19-25 ॥
english translation
तब वह असुर भगवान् को कठोर मुक्कों से मारने लगा किन्तु भगवान् अधोक्षज ने उसकी कनपटी में उस तरह थप्पड़ मारा जिस प्रकार मरुतों के स्वामी इन्द्र ने वृत्रासुर को मारा था। ॥ ३-१९-२५ ॥
