Srimad Bhagavatam
त इमे मन्दमतयः कलहाभिरताः खलाः । तं मामवज्ञाय मुहुर्दुर्भाषान् मानिनोऽब्रुवन् ॥ १०-६८-३३ ॥
But they are so dull-headed, fond of quarrel and mischievous by nature that they have repeatedly disrespected Me. Out of conceit they dared to address Me with harsh words! ॥ 10-68-33 ॥

परंतु वे स्वभाव से इतने मंदबुद्धि, झगड़ालू और शरारती हैं कि उन्होंने बार-बार मेरा अनादर किया है। दंभ के कारण उन्होंने मुझे कठोर शब्दों से संबोधित करने का साहस किया! ॥ १०-६८-३३ ॥
