ता मन्मनस्का मत्प्राणा मदर्थे त्यक्तदैहिकाः । मामेव दयितं प्रेष्ठमात्मानं मनसा गताः । ये त्यक्तलोकधर्माश्च मदर्थे तान् बिभर्म्यहम् ॥ १०-४६-४ ॥
The minds of those gopīs are always absorbed in Me, and their very lives are ever devoted to Me. For My sake they have abandoned everything related to their bodies, renouncing ordinary happiness in this life, as well as religious duties necessary for such happiness in the next life. I alone am their dearmost beloved and, indeed, their very Self. I personally sustain such devotees, who for My sake give up all worldly duties. ॥ 10-46-4 ॥

उन गोपियों के मन सदैव मुझमें लीन रहते हैं और उनके प्राण सदैव मुझी में अनुरक्त रहते हैं। उन्होंने मेरे लिए ही अपने शरीर से सम्बन्धित सारी वस्तुओं को त्याग दिया है, यहाँ तक इस जीवन के सामान्य सुख के साथ साथ अगले जीवन में सुख-प्राप्ति के लिए जो धार्मिक कृत्य आवश्यक हैं, उन तक का परित्याग कर दिया है। मैं उनका एकमात्र परम प्रियतम हूँ, यहाँ तक कि उनकी आत्मा हूँ। अत: मैं सभी परिस्थितियों में उनका भरण-पोषण करने का दायित्व अपने ऊपर लेता हूँ। ॥ १०-४६-४ ॥
