एषोऽवजानतो मर्त्यान् कामरूपी वनौकसः । हन्ति ह्यस्मै नमस्यामः शर्मणे आत्मनो गवाम् ॥ १०-२४-३७ ॥
“This Govardhana Hill, assuming any form he wishes, will kill any residents of the forest who neglect him. Therefore let us pay our obeisances to him for the safety of ourselves and our cows.” ॥ 10-24-37 ॥
english translation
यह गोवर्धन पर्वत इच्छानुसार रूप धारण करके अपनी उपेक्षा करने वाले वन के किसी भी निवासी को मार डालेगा। अत: अपनी तथा गौवों की सुरक्षा के लिए हम उसको नमस्कार करें। ॥ १०-२४-३७ ॥
