स एष भगवान् साक्षाद्विष्णुर्योगेश्वरेश्वरः । जातो यदुष्वित्यशृण्म ह्यपि मूढा न विद्महे ॥ १०-२३-४८ ॥
Yet even though we had heard that the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Viṣṇu, the Lord of all mystic controllers, had taken birth in the Yadu dynasty, we were so foolish that we could not recognize Śrī Kṛṣṇa to be none other than Him. ॥ 10-23-48 ॥

यद्यपि हमने योगेश्वरों के ईश्वर, पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तम भगवान् विष्णु के विषय में यह सुन रखा था कि उन्होंने यदु वंश में जन्म ले लिया है किन्तु हम इतने मूर्ख थे कि श्रीकृष्ण को साक्षात् भगवान् नहीं समझ पाये। ॥ १०-२३-४८ ॥
