तथापि भूमन् महिमागुणस्य ते विबोद्धुमर्हत्यमलान्तरात्मभिः । अविक्रियात्स्वानुभवादरूपतो ह्यनन्यबोध्यात्मतया न चान्यथा ।। १०-१४-६ ।।

sanskrit

Nondevotees, however, cannot realize You in Your full personal feature. Nevertheless, it may be possible for them to realize Your expansion as the impersonal Supreme by cultivating direct perception of the Self within the heart. But they can do this only by purifying their mind and senses of all conceptions of material distinctions and all attachment to material sense objects. Only in this way will Your impersonal feature manifest itself to them. ।। 10-14-6 ।।

english translation

किन्तु अभक्तगण आपके पूर्ण साकार रूप में आपका अनुभव नहीं कर सकते। फिर भी हृदय के अन्दर आत्मा की प्रत्यक्ष अनुभूति द्वारा वे निर्विशेष ब्रह्म के रूप में आपका अनुभव कर सकते हैं। किन्तु वे ऐसा तभी कर सकते हैं जब वे अपने मन तथा इन्द्रियों को सारी भौतिक उपाधियों तथा इन्द्रिय-विषयों के प्रति आसक्ति से शुद्ध कर लें। केवल इस विधि से ही उन्हें आपका निर्विशेष स्वरूप प्रकट हो सकेगा। ।। १०-१४-६ ।।

गुणात्मनस्तेऽपि गुणान् विमातुं हितावतीर्णस्य क ईशिरेऽस्य । कालेन यैर्वा विमिताः सुकल्पैर्भूपांसवः खे मिहिका द्युभासाः ।। १०-१४-७ ।।

In time, learned philosophers or scientists might be able to count all the atoms of the earth, the particles of snow, or perhaps even the shining molecules radiating from the sun, the stars and other luminaries. But among these learned men, who could possibly count the unlimited transcendental qualities possessed by You, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who have descended onto the surface of the earth for the benefit of all living entities? ।। 10-14-7 ।।

english translation

समय के साथ, विद्वान दार्शनिक या विज्ञानी, पृथ्वी के सारे परमाणु, हिम के कण या शायद सूर्य, नक्षत्र तथा ग्रहों से निकलने वाले ज्योति कणों की भी गणना करने में समर्थ हो सकते हैं किन्तु इन विद्वानों में ऐसा कौन है, जो आप में अर्थात् पूर्ण पुरुषोत्तम परमेश्वर में निहित असीम दिव्य गुणों का आकलन कर सके। ऐसे भगवान् समस्त जीवात्माओं के कल्याण के लिए इस धरती पर अवतरित हुए हैं। ।। १०-१४-७ ।।

तत्तेऽनुकम्पां सुसमीक्षमाणो भुञ्जान एवात्मकृतं विपाकम् । हृद्वाग्वपुर्भिर्विदधन्नमस्ते जीवेत यो मुक्तिपदे स दायभाक् ।। १०-१४-८ ।।

My dear Lord, one who earnestly waits for You to bestow Your causeless mercy upon him, all the while patiently suffering the reactions of his past misdeeds and offering You respectful obeisances with his heart, words and body, is surely eligible for liberation, for it has become his rightful claim. ।। 10-14-8 ।।

english translation

हे प्रभु, जो व्यक्ति अपने विगत दुष्कर्मों के फलों को धैर्यपूर्वक सहते हुए तथा अपने मन, वाणी तथा शरीर से आपको नमस्कार करते हुए सत्यनिष्ठा से आपकी अहैतुकी कृपा प्रदत्त किये जाने की प्रतीक्षा करता है, वह अवश्य ही मोक्ष का भागी होता है क्योंकि यह उसका अधिकार बन जाता है। ।। १०-१४-८ ।।

पश्येश मेऽनार्यमनन्त आद्ये परात्मनि त्वय्यपि मायिमायिनि । मायां वितत्येक्षितुमात्मवैभवं ह्यहं कियानैच्छमिवार्चिरग्नौ ।। १०-१४-९ ।।

My Lord, just see my uncivilized impudence! To test Your power I tried to extend my illusory potency to cover You, the unlimited and primeval Supersoul, who bewilder even the masters of illusion. What am I compared to You? I am just like a small spark in the presence of a great fire. ।। 10-14-9 ।।

english translation

हे प्रभु, मेरी अशिष्टता को जरा देखें! आपकी शक्ति की परीक्षा करने के लिए मैंने अपनी मायामयी शक्ति से आपको आच्छादित करने का प्रयत्न किया जबकि आप असीम तथा आदि परमात्मा हैं, जो मायापतियों को भी मोहित करनेवाले हैं। आपके सामने भला मैं क्या हूँ? विशाल अग्नि की उपस्थिति में मैं छोटी चिनगारी की तरह हूँ। ।। १०-१४-९ ।।

अतः क्षमस्वाच्युत मे रजोभुवो ह्यजानतस्त्वत्पृथगीशमानिनः । अजावलेपान्धतमोऽन्धचक्षुष एषोऽनुकम्प्यो मयि नाथवानिति ।। १०-१४-१० ।।

Therefore, O infallible Lord, kindly excuse my offenses. I have taken birth in the mode of passion and am therefore simply foolish, presuming myself a controller independent of Your Lordship. My eyes are blinded by the darkness of ignorance, which causes me to think of myself as the unborn creator of the universe. But please consider that I am Your servant and therefore worthy of Your compassion. ।। 10-14-10 ।।

english translation

अतएव हे अच्युत भगवान्, मेरे अपराधों को क्षमा कर दें। मैं रजोगुण से उत्पन्न हुआ हूँ और स्वयं को आपसे पृथक् (स्वतंत्र) नियन्ता मानने के कारण मैं निरा मूर्ख हूँ। अज्ञान के अंधकार से मेरी आँखें अंधी हो चुकी हैं जिसके कारण मैं अपने को ब्रह्माण्ड का अजन्मा स्रष्टा समझ रहा हूँ। किन्तु मुझे आप अपना सेवक मानें और अपनी दया का पात्र बना लें। ।। १०-१४-१० ।।
