भारतैवं वत्सपेषु भुञ्जानेष्वच्युतात्मसु । वत्सास्त्वन्तर्वने दूरं विविशुस्तृणलोभिताः ।। १०-१३-१२ ।।

sanskrit

O Mahārāja Parīkṣit, while the cowherd boys, who knew nothing within the core of their hearts but Kṛṣṇa, were thus engaged in eating their lunch in the forest, the calves went far away, deep into the forest, being allured by green grass. ।। 10-13-12 ।।

english translation

हे महाराज परीक्षित, एक ओर जहाँ अपने हृदय में कृष्ण के अतिरिक्त अन्य किसी को न जानने वाले ग्वालबाल जंगल में भोजन करने में इस तरह व्यस्त थे वहीं दूसरी ओर बछड़े हरी घास से ललचाकर दूर घने जंगल में चरने निकल गये। ।। १०-१३-१२ ।।
