    घेरण्ड उवाच । मलाकुलासु नाडीषु मारुतो नैव गच्छति । प्राणायामः कथं सिध्येत्तत्त्वज्ञानं कथं भवेत् । तस्मादादौ नडीशुद्धिं प्राणायामं ततोऽभ्यसेत् ॥५-३५॥gheraNDa uvAca । malAkulAsu nADISu mAruto naiva gacchati । prANAyAmaH kathaM sidhyettattvajJAnaM kathaM bhavet । tasmAdAdau naDIzuddhiM prANAyAmaM tato'bhyaset ॥5-35॥When the nadis of the seeker are filled with feces (residual matter), then the vital air is not able to reach inside the nadis. How can Pranayama be accomplished by not being able to enter the vital air, that is, how will the seeker get success in Pranayama? And how will he attain true knowledge? Therefore, first of all the seeker should practice Nadi Shuddhi to purify his nerves and then practice Pranayam.

He is the master of both the unmanifest material energy and the spirit soul. After sending forth the creation He enters within it, accompanying each living entity. There He creates the material bodies and then remains as their regulator. By surrendering to Him one can escape the embrace of illusion, just as a dreaming person forgets his own body. One who wants liberation from fear should constantly meditate upon Him, Lord Hari, who is always on the platform of perfection and thus never subject to material birth. ॥ 10-87-50 ॥

    अवाच्यो दीक्षितो नाम्ना यवीयानपि यो भवेत् । भोभवत्पूर्वकं त्वेनमभिभाषेत धर्मवित् ॥ १२८ ॥avAcyo dIkSito nAmnA yavIyAnapi yo bhavet । bhobhavatpUrvakaM tvenamabhibhASeta dharmavit ॥ 128 ॥He who has been initiated (to perform a Srauta sacrifice) must not be addressed by his name, even though he be a younger man; he who knows the sacred law must use in speaking to such (a man the particle) bhoh and (the pronoun) bhavat (your worship).

Then, taking permission from Lord Kṛṣṇa, the shelter of the goddess of fortune, the various guests departed as they all chanted the glories of Vasudeva’s sacrifice. ॥ 10-84-56 ॥

Vasudeva then put on new garments, after which he honored all classes of people by feeding everyone, even the dogs. ॥ 10-84-54 ॥
